Three Anxiety Voices in Your Head: Children and Young People

Most of us are aware that there is often an internal dialogue – a chit chat that we have with ourselves that is commentating on our observations, experiences and emotions. That inner voice can sometimes make a bad situation worse by providing unnecessary dramatic interpretations and narration of what is going on. In short, we talk ourselves into feeling much worse than we needed to feel.

In this video we explore 3 different types of internal voice that can show up at anxious times and how we can deal with them.

Firstly you need to know what each of the voices sound like so that you can identify the best way to reach towards it or take control of it. A benefit of reacting this way is that you’ll remember that you are in charge of your own mind and that you do not have to listen to or believe the unhelpful thoughts and voices.
