Parents & Professionals:
Creating Family Values

Children & Young People:
I Can’t Do It!

Our values exist at a much deeper level than our beliefs and can therefore have a great deal of influence over how we end up reacting and behaving. They can instal in us good and unwanted behaviours depending on which values we choose.

Often, values are inherited. We make decisions about what we value most based on what we have seen and experienced from our own families, however this programming isn’t always the best! It’s much better to be conscious of the values you want to install in your children and what you want your family to ‘look’ and behave like. If you have a clear plan, you stand a much better chance of achieving it.

Just Say No!

Sometimes I’m in agreement with children that they need to have access to information: like knowing why they aren’t allowed to do or have something, why they may be disciplined, what your reasoning is behind the decisions that you make (particularly if it affects them) and why it is that you’re saying no.

I also think that sometimes it just needs to be ‘no’.

I know that it’s important that children have some ideas around your thinking but, and particularly where it’s a troublesome issue or…

Most of us reach a point of getting stuck in our thinking a truly believe that we can’t do something we really want or really need to do.

The good news is there’s a couple of very simple steps that you can take that will help you get out of an ‘I can’t do it’ rut and get your mind working to help you find ways in which you can do it instead.

What Do You Need to Know?

Facebook Live Session

On Friday 17th January 2020 we held a facebook live session on the NLP4Kids Facebook feed!

If you didn’t get a chance to see it live we’ve uploaded a recording to our Facebook page (linked below). If you have not already ‘liked’ NLP4Kids on facebook, you can do that here:

Our facebook page is pretty busy – there is content that goes out on an almost daily basis and it’s a great way to get additional information that isn’t always shared in this newsletter.

During our facebook live session, we answered questions you might have about any aspect whats-so-ever regarding the NLP4Kids franchise.

We received some questions related to working in schools and becoming a business owner but I’m sure there are many more things you might want to know. You can always pop us a message on Facebook if we didn’t answer your questions!

Who is featured in this session?:

The session includes all of the key players from the NLP4Kids office:

Megan Harvey – Megan is the first point of contact in NLP4Kids. She handles new franchise enquiries and parent enquiries.

For anyone who makes an enquiry about NLP4Kids training or the franchise, Megan will ensure that you are sent the appropriate documents, that you receive all of the information you need and will then reach out to you to find out how you are getting on digesting it all!

Megan has to maintain a good knowledge of our current practitioners skills in order to refer parent enquiries to the most suited NLP4Kids practitioner.

In 2019 Megan became a qualified NLP4Kids practitioner and plans to begin seeing clients in 2020 to support the community work of our not-for-profit arm ‘Superheroes’.

Gemma Bailey – Gemma is the creator of and company director for NLP4Kids which was formed in 2007. She set up the company from scratch and has designed and delivered all of the NLP4Kids programmes. She has a significant hand in project design and delivery and the creation of further resources for the team.

All of the NLP4Kids resources have likely been designed by Gemma and the back end systems that help to keep you on track with your business growth and development have been designed by her too.

With an extensive background in business, Gemma is also the mentor for all of the NLP4Kids team members, helping them with challenges from business and marketing related activity to NLP techniques for specific challenges that a child is experiencing.

Gemma is also the safeguarding officer for NLP4Kids and works with the team members around these issues.

Eleasha Campbell – Eleasha is part of our sales team and a key-worker for the NLP4Kids practitioners.

If you make an enquiry about the NLP4Kids training, there is a strong likelihood that at some point you will have a conversation with Eleasha! Eleasha can really give you the ins and outs of what it means to be a practitioner and how we support those who go on to franchise with us.

As a key-worker, Eleasha will ensure that you are on track with your business start up process and have everything you need. She will also be responsible for marketing to and communicating with the schools you may end up working with.
