Why do we have walls on our house and fences around our gardens? Well, the answer might not be all that different to the reasons why rules, boundaries and discipline are good for the children you work with or look after. Both are designed to create a sense of safety and without safety, there is havoc – or at least a potential fear of it. And we all know (just look at Brexit) that a potential disaster can sometimes be as damaging as the disaster itself. Today, we’ll learn how to make our children feel just as secure as our homes.
