Stop Comparing Yourself – Children and Young People


If you’ve noticed yourself comparing yourself to others, and noticed how it makes you feel bad, there are a few things you might want to consider doing.

Comparing yourself to others might at times make you feel good – or smug – when you realise that you are better in some way. But it’s still an unhealthy habit to have because it’s likely that at times you’ll compare yourself to others in a negative way too.

In this video, I’ll give you simple things you can do to feel better about yourself and how to avoid automatically thinking that others have a better life than you do.

Remember, what you see on other people’s ‘outside’ isn’t necessarily a reflection of what is going on for them on the inside. The most important thing is to feel good on the inside.
