My name is Izabela and I am a fully licensed NLP4Kids Practitioner.

I help children from primary school age to young adulthood to learn how to better understand and manage their social-emotional development. I teach them strategies to help them tackle anxiety and stress, related to change of environment or circumstances. In our work together they learn how to improve adaptability and face challenges related to any transition period, as well as how to communicate effectively and build strong, lasting relationships with the people around them in families and schools.

I help young people find the motivation, strength and determination within themselves. I equip them with life skills that positively influence their level of commitment, improve performance, increase confidence and self- esteem. In my work, I empower them to build a purposeful life and take control in shaping own future.
I strongly believe in the holistic approach, whereby involving parents, teachers and friends, life-changing and sustainable results can be achieved in a much shorter period of time.

With practice and persistence, young people can learn techniques that enable them to overcome fears and phobias, change old behaviours, shift from a negative state of mind and awake happy thoughts that trigger positive emotions.
Since a very early age, I have wanted to work with children. Initially, thinking of becoming a physiotherapist or studying child psychology. Later, probably because of my love for horses, I dreamed of having own ranch and running Hippotherapy for physically impaired children.

My path diverted slightly from my early dreams (as they sometimes do), although I remained close to my true calling and worked predominantly with young people, throughout my entire career.
Beginning as a Tour Guide and Holiday Camp Group Leader during my university years. Later moving to a corporate environment, I developed and delivered inductions, onboarding and training programmes mainly to graduates or interns.
As a Human Resources and Learning&Development professional, I have been recruiting, building teams, assessing and managing performance. Prior to completing NLP4Kids training, I worked as a Career Coach and Motivational Speaker with young people at High Schools, Colleges and Universities across London, delivering presentations, advising on career opportunities, conducting mock interviews, providing feedback and guidance.
When I became a mum, I realized that there is much more that I could and should do for children and families. As a mother of two, I understand the challenges that many parents, grandparents, carers but also teachers and other family members are facing in today’s fast-paced world.

I learned about NLP techniques from one of my mentors, so I could experience the positive effects of these amazing techniques first hand. Later NLP4Kids was recommended to me, and I knew it was a great opportunity to utilise my skills and experience to help children, support families and schools.

How Does Our Therapy Help Children and Young People?

We use a combination of safe and effective therapies with children and teenagers that help them learn how to control their thoughts, emotions and behaviour. Our practitioners are specialists in working with children using a form of therapy called NLP. This stands for Neuro Linguistic Programming. "Neuro" relates to the brain and "linguistic" refers to language and how it is used inside the mind and out of the mouth! "Programming" describes the patterns and habits created, learnt and followed. Using NLP techniques and strategies, (which we have adapted to be fun, safe and easy for children and teenagers to use) we give young people the skills to think in new ways so that they feel in control and learn to understand the world from the perspective of others as well as their own. NLP is a cognitive form of therapy, with some parallels to CBT (cognitive behaviour therapy.) Our work is effective in helping children overcome bad habits, behaviour problems, fears and self esteem problems as well as many other challenges. (See the list below for more suggestions about the types of problems we can help with.)

In addition, our practitioners may have qualifications in other specialist therapies, such as EFT/TFT (tapping techniques), Coaching, Counselling and Hypnotherapy for children.

Hypnosis is perfectly safe for children because it is a relaxed state that they already utilise when learning, watching television or doing something creative. Some children will be able to experience a deep, eyes closed relaxing trance. Young children are usually more suited to an awakened trance. This is induced when playing games, colouring or whilst other activities that our Hypnotherapy4Kids practitioners have been trained to use. Our Hypnotherapists will notice the subtle shifts in your child’s levels of awareness so that they can begin to implant suggestions for change or improvement as soon as they see that an awakened trance is achieved.

The first step in helping your child is to contact a practitioner who is local to you. You can call them on the number above or complete the contact box below if you would like the practitioner to contact you. They will conduct a consultation with you, either over the phone or in person. Once they have understood the challenges your child is facing, they will invite you and your child to meet with them. If you decide to go ahead with some therapy or coaching sessions for your child, the therapist will advise you of the best course of action. Your therapist will give you feedback and advise to help you support your child and you will remain in full control of the number of sessions you book and how often. [Read Less]
